Two good bands, a pretty solid split CD. Watch it Burn play melodic punk-rock the likes of which could very well constitute a future release on No Idea, it’s that kind of rough around the edges but eminently likeable sound. The first song ‘sad songs never die’, a title that I especially like, sets the precedent that the subsequent two tracks never really live up to, but it’s enjoyable none the less. Tiltwheel do a similar sounding thing, coming across like a faster-paced Small Brown Bike/Hot Water Music they mix those gruff vocals and punchy punk-rock sounds in a well-worn but still very welcome combination. Two quality bands and a good release at that.
