Pretty crazy this! For a start the name is pretty weird, what’s that about? Sounds somewhere in-between Dj Shadow, Cex and those Soulwax compilations that got very popular for about five minutes. It’s all over the place! The first track is really breakbeat, there are a lot of cut up beats with silly talking over the top. Don’t like that track too much to be honest. The second track starts off with a jazzy drumbeat, distant strings and dark piano ramblings. This track really sounds like Dj Shadow! I guess someone like cloudead or Anticon would come up with something like this as well. I find the third track very annoying! I think it’s the sampled vocals (imagine a dance version of Parklife!), Rubbish, the music is really good on this one though! The last track is really nice. Much spacier and sounding more electronica. Imagine if Cex did the soundtrack to the Straight Story (an amazing film, if you haven’t seen it check it out).
