Seven Feet Four - s/t - 7

I think I have a song by these guys on a comp LP somewhere and I remember it as being decent so when I saw this 7″ in a record store in Amsterdam I thought I’d pick it up and see if it was any good. And it is, even if it is a touch generic. Seven Feet Four play energetic and riotous screamo chaos that fits in well with your traditional favourites. I’d compare it to a cross over of Usurp Synapse and Song of Zarathustra. Or maybe the Jam Session. On one song they sprinkle in some of those evil church organ keyboard parts that were all the rage for bands who wanted to be on the next Witching Hour 7″ in the Ninety Nine, and they have screechy vocals that are high up the scale. For the most part it is ragin’ spazzy hardcore – they do a few songs of this and I can’t really fault any of them, really well done and prime candidates for stupid dancing. Solid mosh parts too! I definitely thought this was not bad at all because it wasn’t one of those records that made me think I already had 20 other copies of in my big box of records. Nice one!
