Another new band for me but definitely one I will check out more of. Southpaw serve up just over half an hour (perfect time for a record) of hard edged punk rock. The vocals are Samiam-esque and the whole thing reeks of awesome songwriting and musicianship. The songs fly by and some have their slower quieter moments but all of it works so so well as a whole.
Not much more to say unfortunately, it didn’t blow my tits off but after repeated listens I got into it much more it’s a brill little CD from a really hardworking and honest British band, I bet they are ace live. The artwork is sublime and lush too. Something to chuck on and have a rock out to.
