Such beautiful post rock instrumentation from such a basic lineup, I’m actually trying to notice a flaw it’s sinful. The thing is, The Nudes is rather poppy and catchy without sounding too hurried at all. Or even too draining. None of the tracks go further than 5 1/2 mins. Yes, really. Layers of pretty melodies that flow after each other it’s easy to listen to it at one go. Totally full on head nodding toe tapping shoulder swaying goodness. Sometimes jazzy…sometimes laidback…all the right elements in all the right places. It’s…uhm…flawless. Anyone remember American Football? Yes yes! Another great band on another great label.
