Idlewild - Love Steals Us From Loneliness - CD (2005)

Labels: Parlophone
Review by: Gareth L

‘Love Steals Us From Loneliness’ sees Idlewild past maturing and into wearing slippers, smoking a pipe and claiming their pension. Slow, dreary Radio Two rock that basically repeats the particularly uninspiring drawn-out chorus over and over again and does little else. Idlewild used to be fun; how they went from the spiky punk of the Captain EP to this REM/U2 thing is beyond me. Shame, really.
