Elliott - Photorecording - CD (2005)

Labels: Revelation
Review by: Damien Mills

This is apparently the final release from these indie rocking dudes, it is a sort of ‘best of’ of the later years recorded live in a studio, though you wouldn’t know from listening to it as it sounds just as slick and shiney as the albums. Mostly it’s pretty decent though and a good introduction to the band, even if it does miss out some of my favourite songs (Calvary Song?) in favour of some twatting around. For example, there are 2 versions of ‘drive onto me’, one played fairly straight and one with some kind of dance beat going on? Okay guys. I would liked to have seen them live at some point though and I guess this is as close as I’m gonna get now.

Also included is a dvd tour documentary or something but I don’t currently have the technology to appreciate this, however, my guess is it doesn’t include any crazy backstage footage of them drinking piss with the Bloodhound Gang or anything, which is a shame.
