Man, I think CUAD just broke up, is that title a curse or were they trying to be smart somehow? They did always seem like the sort of band that were never as clever as they seemed to think they were, so it could go either way.
The songs here are not as terrible as I was expecting and I got all the way through it without getting angry, even though this smart arse metal crap usually pisses me off like no other. I guess it’s sort of techy-ish stuff but not quite as wanky as Dillinger Escape Plan and crap like that, but still basically music for nu metal kids forming jarg ‘Metalcore’ bands to aspire too, but much better than Since By Man.
I’m not sure if hell has frozen over just yet or if Jordan Cooper has been given a taste transplant but Revelation recently committed to releasing some bands that are actually not that terrible (Sinking Ships, Shook Ones, Gracer, new Beyond discog), so I’ll look forward to trying to blag pre-release promos of those (I’m bagsying them now Malcolm assuming they still send them after all the shitty reviews they get on here), but until them, they can keep stuff like this for Lambgoat or wherever.
