One of the best new(ish) UK bands for years finally gets round to doing a proper record, following up on a demo that sounded pretty fucking awesome already, and it is HEAVYWEIGHT in every sense of the word. The thickest, blackest vinyl contains one of their slower-burning tracks, both deadly serious and seriously deadly, the song building and building through well-paced melodic minor-chord progressions, creating layer upon layer of tension before a satisfying metallic hardcore release. They cover “Ty Cobb”” by Soundgarden in their own inimitable style on the flip shaving off the banjo bits and streamlining it into the pure punk blast it nearly was in the first place. Here’s hoping they do “”Fourth Of July”” next. Contact Titan Heists Records on hail_of_bullets@hotmail.com”
