“Bout time this longstanding Notts hoard got their act together and penned a bloody full-length, and, for all those who’ve been sitting on their hands and grumbling while they took their sweet time, we’re happy to report that the wait has been more than worth it. True to form, their sound is still grimly pitched somewhere between the hardcore thump of Left For Dead and the octave-driven brutality of Uranus, but the technicality’s been tweaked and any remaining fat trimmed mercilessly away, as though this lot have been rigorously training for the life-or-death title fight to end them all. Needless to say, the ferocity of the music is matched blow-for-blow by Henry’s ravening crow caw, busting a gut to cough up fire, brimstone and no end of venom in order to rail against the seemingly endless catalogue of stupidities and injustices the human race is apparently capable of. Killer all round, basically.
