This cute slab of clear vinyl comes without written info or labels, so I wasn’t sure what track was on first. I wasn’t even sure I was listening to Jazzfinger! A quick scan of the matrix soon told me what was what though and as soon as the sounds crawled out the speakers, I was immediately taken back to an older recording that featured on a split LP with pre-Marzuraan Newcastle hardcore mob Orrin DeForrest from more than several years ago. Atonal, weirdly soothing found sounds and scrapes, all wheezy accordion and violin abuse that I initially thought were the stylus collapsing in on itself, but soon coalesced into very odd, esoteric and slightly inconsequential exercises in noisery. Pretty bizarre all in all, but not at all unwelcome.
