These guys have been around a long time, but it’s been quite a while since I last listened to them. There is actually a review on here of the band Caustic Soda who had a 7″ on Crackle. BM have some folk from that band and this is their latest endeavour.
Only two songs on this single, but if this is the shape of things to come I’ll be keen to hear a full length. There is a definite Jawbreaker flavour in this band, and they show different elements to it on each song. “Saw You Last Night” opens up side A, and it charges off out of the gate, also reminding me of Knapsack. It has a toe-tapping drive to it, with the guitars kicking things on. On the flip, “Let Go” is a really pleasant, laidback tune. Great melody, with vocals that ease on through and definitely impress. It’s certainly nothing out of the ordinary but as someone who lusts after straight forward indie rock with a little bite, this kind of thing has a big appeal to me.
Good seven, would be nice if there is an album on the way for sure.
