Three songs in total on this 10″ and can expect much post-rockery combined with some screaming now and then. Initially, this band reminded me a tad of This Will Destroy You instrumental-wise. Since I quite like said band, this is a-okay with me. The vocals that do exist in the songs are really great; quite hoarse screams as you’d expect with this sort of thing. The only thing is, there must be about 2-3 minutes over the three songs (and they’re pretty long songs). This is a bit of a shame really; I’d like to see more vocals in future releases (should there be any). The whole thing’s really well produced and every instrument is crystal clear too which is quite nice. The packaging’s cool too – plenty of fangle screening n’ that. Oh, and there’s a nifty stenciled cdr of the release as well. The lyrics and their explanations on the insert are quite frank and not really what I wanted to read at 9 on a monday morning, but hey, true to life n’ that. Sad though.

Anyway, this is a solid and quite refreshing release from ex-Towers members. I’d like more vox but it’s no biggy. The instruments are played adeptly and compliment each other perfectly, even if it is all a bit glum.
