This is compilation tape of 26 “extended friends and family” from the currently overflowing scene taking place in and around Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Lots of really cool stuff on here; Algernon Cadwallader, Snowing, 1994, Best Friends, Ape Up! We Were Skeletons, Towers, Hop Along, Boyfriends, Peter and Craig and a whole load more. I’m not going to bore you by describing how every band sounds; a lot of it definitely has a major emo-fluence, but there is a good mix of stuff here, from screamo to singer songwriter stuff.
Really nice sleeve and it’s refreshing to see a scene that is so friendly and tight.
Worth picking up if you can find a copy (looking at the labels sites a lot have already gone); some great songs, and a great document of what seems like a very fun scene, and I’m sure all the guys and girls involved are stoked to be a part of.
