As I am somewhat prone to hyperbole, you will no doubt shrug your shoulders and not take seriously my proclamation that the song “Indecision” on here is the best indie rock song I have heard in a very long time. I probably make that statement every week. However, in this case, please believe it. “Indecision” is a pure belter, hitting a repetitious groove and then riding it with total abandon until the journey’s end. The superb bass carries things here, is thick and warm, whilst the guitars jangle and bounce, and seriously, it sounds like how you wanted a band to rip off the Promise Ring on their fast songs off Nothing Feels Good (I don’t believe this is often achieved). Except fronted by Ian Curtis, if only he hadn’d been such a grumpy old sod. This is an absolute delight, I can not fault this song at all.

Flip side “Fifteen Minute Drive” wasn’t going to live up to it, but it is still lovely. It’s again simple, poppy, and that whomping bass just oozes everywhere. This jangle-fest is rather Wedding Present-esque, if I may say so. Towards the end they up the distortion, noise and bury the pop amidst a wail of uncontrolled guitar squeels.

These guys… these guys, need to do an LP, STAT!

Oh wait… ex-Black Tambourine.
