Untitled 713 - Filling the Void - CD (2010)

Labels: self released
Review by: Thomas Strawbridge

Mish mash here. This is all instrumental, and there’s a good use of dissonance throughout. I’m not sure of the right way to describe this but its basically industrial/noise stuff. In places a bit like early Pitchshifter, which is where it goes wrong. The quiet intro and one of the interludes are well put together and actually come off a little frightening. But the rest of this where the big riffs and programmed drums kick in is frighteningly bad. Maybe worth checking in a year or so to see if they’ve pinned their direction down one way or the other.
