Labels: Argghh!!

Less developed than their one-sided 12″ or split with One Second Riot, this nascent release shows a polished screamo sound (think: Funeral Diner, Kaospilot, Belle Epoque) that barely hints at the ever-shifting rock beast they would later become. Ragged screams, pummelled octaves, clattering drums and various other stock tricks are deployed, though the inclusion of some ambient passages and crackling samples-as-background-noise at least make for a more interesting racket than many of the other bands who’ve helped drive this style into the ground over the years. Solid for what it is, then, though definitely best to start with their latest work and work your way backwards.
