Rash Decision - s/t - CD (2010)

Labels: self released
Review by: David Giles

If I had to guess at what Rash Decision were trying to sound like I’d put my cash on early crossover marks like Muncipial Waste, although I detect an edge of bands like The Lobotomies here too, deliberate or not. They play fast and ripping for sure and a couple of the riffs struck me as being pretty cool. I couldn’t help feeling like something was amiss though – it might just be the clean production. This definitely sounds a lot friendlier than the stuff that I’d personally be interested in listening to. Tell you what though: some rad riffs and some solid enough songs on this record. I can think of a few mates who would be into this off the top of my head. If this band stuck with what they were doing but made everything a bit more primitive, I reckon they could get a crowd behind them hard.

Last night I saw Motorhead and a shite cock rock band called Hanoi Rocks were supporting. I definitely think RD would have been a better support band than that, whether I’m into this or not!
