Little Sister - Repercussions - Tape (2011)

Labels: Tape Haus
Review by: David Giles

This is fast, crusty and metallic dark hardcore with members of Cheap Tragedies and Masakari. Maybe not worlds apart from the latter. There’s a strong FOAD-era Darkthrone feel and it isn’t far off Cursed or even Tragedy. Little Sister definitely tread the line between metal and hardcore but rather than being chunny they are speedy and negative “” think of a hardcore band covering Motorhead maybe”¦ and not doing too bad a job. There’s a bit on the fourth track too where they slow it down and, although I was apprehensive at first, it turned out pretty hard. Shrill vocals put me off a little at parts but at other parts the sort of remind me of Left For Dead (WHY DON’T I”¦). I like this a lot. Tragedy etc. fans get in about this one.
