Three songs of pretty tasty, janglesome indie rock of the fuzzed out variety here. “Tally” is kind of like first LP Promise Ring mixed up with some Wedding Present, copious fuzz, and a dude who sounds like a girl singing. Apparently there are 6 people in this band, if I read the insert right. What are they all doing? Maybe it takes 3 people to work the fuzz pedals and mess up the recording. Over on the flip is a song called Jezzer, and a song called “HK Song”. “Jezzer” I am less keen on, but it’s still pleasant and shows a band capable of writing quality indie pop. “HK Song” softens things up for an acoustic finale. Again, nice. “Tally” wins the record but overall a neat record that hints at the possibility of a very good LP one day, some place.
