People in Arctic Monkeys have declared themselves fans of this band. So I am not sure if they are really in need of a review on Collective Zine. Given how much bad alt / indie rock is foisted on us by PR companies, the two songs on here are astonishingly acceptable. It packs a bigger wallop than you’ll typically find in that genre, and they have clouded everything with a radio unfriendly fuzz. It only really falls down when they run out of ideas on “Waiting a Lifetime” which goes all Foo Fighters-y. Otherwise it’s in the vein of stuff like Queens of the Stone Age, which is perfectly acceptable to these ears.
