Four songs of taut, muscular stuff that the band peg as powerviolence but I reckon has more in common with grind. Pedantic I know, and there’s been obvious bleed here and there over the years, but whatever. Anyhow, things are crisp and ably played with the band mixing up frantic blasts of ire and those slow, stumbling dunn-dunn-dunnnnn parts with reasonable finesse, the two vocalists (one high and one low, naturally) belting it out and actually sounding best when they merge as one rather than trading off against each other. Has to be said that in the scheme of things these three fellas aren’t in the same league as the classics littering the Slap A Ham / Satans Pimp / Bovine rosters and they certainly don’t hold a candle to the best of what today has to offer in terms of technically-edged powerviolence brutality (Iron Lung and Dead Language, take a bow) but, hey, who the fuck really does these days? So, yeah, if you’re hungry for more of that and can’t be arsed to quibble over lineage then trundle along to their Bandcamp page and give this thing a free spin or two.
