Vinyl release of a 2008 CD from this longstanding if far-from-prolific Brazilian thrash act who’ve seen their earlier LPs reissued by Black Water (AGE, Framtid, Hellshock, Nerveskade etc.). Despite having ‘gone metal’ many, many moons ago the band nevertheless retain their punk rock bite and energy, belting through 13 chugmungous crossover numbers that owe a considerable debt to ‘Ride The Lightning’ and manage to satisfy the perma-teen part of my brain that recalls slogging through an early-morning paper round, still drunk from the night before and wearing out dubbed copies of ‘Arise’ and ‘Beneath The Remains’ on my shitty Alba walkman. Granted I’m probably making that last comparison due to the accent and gruff intonation, but, whatever: this is a definitely keeper and worthy of your attention even if you’ve had your patience worn way thin by legions of re-thrash goons picking Kreator riffs to pieces.
