Review by Chaz Hewitt
Cracking demo tape from this familiar (Facel Vega, Etai Keshiki, Twisted etc. etc. yada yada) bunch of Leeds weirdos who seem to do no wrong.
Perfect merge of punk rock between the DC/Revolution summer bands like Rain and Rites of Spring and the noisier, weirder sounds of North-West bands like the Wipers, but from Leeds so it comes out sounding like a gothy, later anarcho band.
The songs are lead by the pounding bass guitar, whilst the lead guitar does something completely different and noisy. Add in some very tight drumming and some desperate vocals and you have the recipe for a very impressive demo. Some real Moss Icon vibes here as well, particularly in John’s vocal delivery.
Very good start and new recordings are coming soon hopefully. One of the best demo tapes of the year thus far. A+.
