Left Of Manila have had the songs from this EP shortlisted for some TV shows and you can certainly see why. Ambient electronica with soothing vocals, it relaxes and both haunts the listener. I hear hints of Moby throughout, particularly in the vocals, but to be fair he is my main point of reference when it comes to this sort of thing! A nice opening track, a pretty sweet second song with a fantastically simple but effective beat. And then the final song, ‘Trainway’, a highlight for me with it’s simple monotonous groove throughout. Tracks four and five are radio edits of the first two songs and don’t add much but overall this is worth checking out.
