Roaring out the gates with some hoarse-throated, burly as hell hardcore that twists and turns into gnarly shapes, keeping the clarity while remaining seriously heavy, Bone Dance are an imposing proposition all in all. They keep things smart but rocking, and I feel the track order and general pacing is really well done, with fast rippers at the start brought up short by “Writhing In Ecstasy” and “White Guilt”’s more mid-paced, single-string pounding antics. There is no let-up in intensity though. I’m going to have to be a lazy dick and bring up Converge as a comparison, because they do remind me of Converge in their punk-baiting proficient tech-metal, so if that’s your thing you should give this a shot. Same goes for those that dig the new breed’s serious vibe a la Enabler and Heartless.
