This is some breezy powerpop from Newcastle in Australia and as suggested by the name of the band and the cover art, it has a summery feel to it. It’s good too – short, upbeat songs that are packed with energy, clean guitars and vocals. Some pretty guitar in there at times too and boys shouting. This also has the Aussie accent in the vocals that I am starting to notice more and more with bands over here. Final track “Susan Gilmore” is the best song on here for me. No idea who she is – the internet tells me she was an actress in Howard’s Way but maybe this is a different Susan. Anyway, good stuff.
