Labels: Adagio830 – Take It Back
Review by: MH
This band has been around since 2007 and the main conundrum I have at the moment is why I didn’t listen to them earlier. The good Joe C suggested I review this and told me the chances were I would like it quite a lot. He wasn’t wrong. It’s excellent. It’s a band from Switzerland playing some brash and hugely energetic punk rock with shades of Hot Snakes, Small Brown Bike and Best Practices in the racket they make. They serve up 6 songs on this 12inch and I’m hearing similar energy levels to “In/Casino/Out”-era At The Drive-in throughout. This is the kind of band that excites me and so despite having taken way too long to get into them I can take solace in the fact that I now have a whole bunch of songs from these guys that I can play to death as these six alone whet my appetite hugely. Word has it they will be in the UK for the first time in September for a tour with Without Maps. Definitely worth getting along to.
