Wits End have had five reviews on Collective up til now. A combination of the lack of emo bands around, so that people snap up the opportunity when it arises, along with the fact that the band are pretty damn good? All the songs from these five releases are contained on this tape, along with four songs unreleased elsewhere. With all the releases being small scale 7”s (one solo and the others all splits) I guess the band/label thought it was time to put everything together and easily accessible. Which is where this tape comes in, also kindly available as a download in which you can name your price.
Fourteen songs of passionate emo are contained here. Wounds, from the Perfect Future split, remains my favourite due its epic nature and Sinaloa meets Merel feel. The four new tracks are three covers, which bring aabout some variety in the songs, and one new song. A very good emo band, made even more special by the lack of them these days.
