Heh, man, this is so straight forward, and it could have come out in 2000, and they could have played a support slot with Sunfactor or something. It’s just honest to goodness alt rock with no posturing or delusions of grandeur. A simple band doing a simple thing. These songs are catchy and rocking, and have these odd little post hardcore hints that suggest they listen to some stuff that I might like, but it does have a lot of cheesey straight up rock moments, and it’s during these bits that I wonder if really it’s just a rock band where one member is super into Knapsack, and can’t convince the rest of them who are just big Hundred Reasons fans or something. Because “Ecdysis” is pretty bad, it has to be said. But I can’t find any reference to this band anywhere else on the internet, so I have no real clue as to what they are going for, their Facebook page is no use either. I found their instagram and one dude is wearing a Nine Inch Nails t-shirt.
This is about as unpretentious as you can be if you are in a band in 2014, and that, in itself, earns them plenty of kudos.
