Dark Sabbath: Symbol of Evil sounds like the best exploitation film Herschell Gordon Lewis never made.
An ageing Karloff would star as the Priest of the Sabbath planning to enslave ancient humanity via a devilish plot in which the image of an enormous Kraken-like creature would be slowly carved into the mountains by nearly two thousand maniacs. Once the deep ridges of the carving had been completed, the symbol of evil would require the blood of a million firstborns before becoming a hypnotic image with a power that no man could withstand.
Marilyn Chambers and Mary Woronov would co-star, with a special appearance by Doug McClure.
Fortunately, Lewis wouldn’t have to worry about the soundtrack because Grasshopper have already made it. Well done them!
