The Drip - A Presentation Of Gruesome Poetics - Download (2014)

Oftentimes with this I feel like I am eating spoonfuls of flour. Umf umf umf. Just like that. It’s pretty brisk (it is grind, after all) and might sustain you, but there’s definitely the sense that I’m stoically ingesting something that might just be a bit too much trouble. Umf umf umf. Things are frequently just kind of formless, you know? There’s a blast of a bunch of stuff happening with voice and drums and sawing guitars, but it just splats out at you with no discernible shape or rationale. Sometimes – usually when things slow down a bit so everyone can take a big deep breath together – it gets pretty good. But these moments are like pinpricks of light in a vast emptiness, and the overriding vibes are not fun or numbing or terrifying, but just a bit interminable. Umf umf umf.
