Landless is the solo project of Brian Moss from California punks Great Apes and this is some instrumental stuff that he’s played and recorded in his house – it’s an interesting and varied listen. I guess it’s post rock of sorts but it doesn’t really sound like the staple bands of that genre. The nearest thing I can compare the opener to is some of the less electronic tracks on the Human Don’t Be Angry LP. There is definitely a dancier influence going on too as track two has a swing feel to it and the final track delves much deeper into its electronica sound. Dub is mentioned as an influence on the email this came in on and that can heard in particular on “Abalone Ashtray”. I’ve enjoyed this -definitely shows an affinity for a wide range of music beyond punk.
