This one came in on the email with The Declining Winter and is of a similar ilk. It is very sparse yet clean melancholy stuff involving finger-picked acoustic guitar, keys and field recordings plus the occasional vocal. There are moments on here where I’m reminded of Lake Michigan in the finger-picked sparseness but on the whole this is more ambient and instrumental. It feels wintry listening to it even in the 35 degree heat in a Brisbane summer and there’s a lovely warmth to the music on here. They do a good job on the packaging of the CDs too.
