Once I had a dream to start a band that tried to make an album with each song being a different genre; ‘Mile Me Deaf’ have taken a step towards achieving this vision because, except for the synths overload, these is no guessing what will come next. ‘Blowout’ is the most normal song, and my favourite, with its dreamy beat and monotone vocals. Tracks like ‘The World We Own’ and ‘One Ark’ then vary greatly, going into The Specials one minute before Maura Davis and Kraftwerk impersonators team up on ‘Shibuya+’. Interesting, flawed and weird.
