Re-repress of this dirty little ripper. A-side is an absolute kick in the teeth: starts off sounding like an ultra-raw Buzzcocks demo, then goes into a sneering, wibbly-wobbly chorus which does its damnedest to lead you down a poorly-lit alleyway and on toward some sort of dead-eyed, slack-jawed collapse. B-side ‘Captivity’ scrabbles itself into a tense, herky-jerk existence that could be a spiritual cousin to the Oblivians’ ‘Blew My Cool’ if played in the style of Wire. Maybe? I don’t know. In any event, it’s great.
