I can only stream two of the four songs from this EP on Bandcamp, but I’ll give it my best shot to give an overview. ‘We Shouldn’t Have To Wait’ is a fascinating opener; this is bedroom pop, but not as we know it. A sort of industrial sound is made, with eerie and apocalyptic machine noises being made whilst Carla sings even more eerily over the top. Spooky, but good! And what to compare it to? I’m not sure… The final track is softer, but still tinged with sadness. Overall, a very interesting take on folk music; just a shame that so little is available to stream from this release, though an earlier 7” is available to stream in full and is equally impressive.
