Loved the Cadena 7″ so picked this up without a second thought, imagining it was a standard split release. Turns out it’s a collaborative effort between the two acts, who performed together at the Cønjuntø Vacíø festival and then hit the studio to record their endeavours. While punk rock’s spirit is present (albeit writhing in agony like a bug being pinned to a piece of card…) this is very much an industrial release, juddering mechanically forward and giving off whiffs of burning plastic and boiling mercury. It’s intense and compelling, remaining just the right side of Crow soundtrack as it roils, hectors and mutates, proffering dark visions of the near future as prophesised by a strangled Dalek.
