Four more tracks of fierce and damaged hardcore from VA’s Fried Egg. As with previous offerings, things are wild and direct but possess a boatload of smarts that seethe beneath the surface. Early works by Negative Approach, Poison Idea and Dicks are worthwhile comparisons in terms of vitriol, nihilism and singularity, but if you’re expecting an ultra-familiar sonic knock-off of any one particular act then you better try looking elsewhere. From the yammeringly maniacal vocals to the hinky little changes of tack it all hangs together impeccably well, making for another must-have Beach Impediment 7″ for your groaning vinyl shelf.
