Suckered in by this one as it was such a weird, enticing prospect: Mem V. Stein of underrated German thrashers Exumer and Church Of Misery’s Tatsu Mikami form an online bromance and decide to make some music together. The pair land on a sound unlike either of the projects they’re known for, but has clear genetic links to both: early-days heavy metal that’s all Diamond Head, Priest and Motörhead. Sure, you do get the odd thrash inflection or half-way stoner lollop, but for the most part it blazes an enjoyably rollicking path for itself that’s utterly inessential but still plenty of fun while it lasts.
