Another savage burst from Warthog, who are sounding more focused and together than I remember them. The music is burly to the point of splitting the seat of its pants … all forceful riffing and ludicrously infections breakdowns … while Chris Hansell’s sneering NYUUURGGHHHs are like a rallying call to battle. Canon Cro-Mags and Agnostic Front LPs are definite points of reference, albeit mixed with the sound of Fucked Up singles circa 2002-2005 and a knuckle-flick’s worth of that classic Toxic State grease. It’s ugly as hell and damn well proud of it … a vicious, throat-stomping pig of a thing that couldn’t play nice if it tried.
