Skullshitter, in case you were wondering, are not a very nice band. Over the course of these eight tracks they blast mercilessly away, dosing their grubby-edged grindcore with a healthy dollop of dingy death metal. Standout track ‘Lava Seed’ slows things down several notches and lets the incessant pound set in, grinding mercilessly like tank treads over writhing, wounded bodies. Bleeding Out also grind merrily away, though their eight tracks are fairly strait-laced by comparison. They satisfy on an immediate, gut-punch level, but are somewhat outgunned by the weirder, grottier goings-on elsewhere.Â
