Plasmid - s/t - 7

“œWe wanted to be RAW and FAST!!!!!!” states Plasmid’s drummer and by Jove did they ever ace that particular mission. Citing the likes of Discharge, Antisect and Anti-System as building blocks these guys recorded precious little, just an obscure four-song demo and an even obscurer practice tape, a spliced mix of which makes up this release. The result is a total blur of chaotic noise recorded on some piece of shit boombox, wherein you can just about make out the unrelenting buzzsaw guitar and no-breaths-between-words hollering. The result is primitive beyond all belief, but that’s half the appeal. Couple this with absolutely stellar packaging (liner notes, photos, handouts, Pushead’s MRR review, a badge and enormous fold-out poster sleeve”¦) and you have a release that’s outstanding on every single level. Pre-Heresy too, ya bastards!
