It’s too nice! It’s just far too nice. Of course, that’s praise, not a criticism, just in case you read one of those music magazines where the term ‘nice’ is used as damning with faint praise. But in my book (available from your local library), it’s just another way of saying how cool something is.
3 men in American Football. One is: Mike Kinsella. He sings and guitars, he was in Cap’n Jazz. This band are nothing like Cap’n Jazz. They are more like a cross between bits of Christie Front Drive (or maybe Antarctica) and the Promise Ring. 3 songs of light, jangly guitared, quiet and poppy numbers. A bit like the poppier slow Promise Ring stuff, you know? But not totally. The guitars are pretty. Pretty what? Just pretty. Mmm, mmm.
“The One With The Tambourine” is nice. “Letters and Packages” is nice. “Five Silent Miles” is nice, and an instrumental.
Buy it, nice person.
