And so Karate return with more of their well-oiled indie-jazz for the kids to grope and gasp to, marvelling at Geoff Farina’s smoothe guitar chops and well-chosen words. Dimly-lit, smoke-hazed rooms spring to mind as the silky tones ooze from the speakers, wooing with suave charm and lulling you willingly into a gentle daze as basslines froth with glee and drums pitter patter nervously so as not to spoil the lullaby. Impeccably-timed jangles and deft fretwork buff and polish the songs to a sheen, leaving old Geoff free to sweet-talk and alliterate to his heart’s content. Bless.
