And I thought I’d already heard some nutty stuff today. Instead of choosing between heading down the dusty trail of hard-bitten stoner rock or the windswept cul-de-sac of powerviolence hardcore, the Lords of Light have simply said “fuck it” and staked their claim somewhere between the two. Songs kick off with some chiming major chords, and maybe even a bit of wobbly Karp-esque crooning, building and building until it all gives way to some truly lunatic blasting grind. A strange, yet not unwelcome, brew. The Melvins meet Iron Lung? Healthy!
