Rammer - Suffer - 12

Labels: Slasher
Review by: Alex Deller

One look at the back of this sleeve pretty much says it all: five dudes with black jeans, long hair and white sneakers loitering in the middle of a graveyard in front of a big fucking car while sneering at the camera. This is METAL like your older brothers and sisters liked it before they cut their hair, stowed their sawn-off denim jackets in the loft and became estate agents, a molten riffslide that snaps and surges like a pit full of half-starved alligators, growling out apocalyptic lyrics and sending duelling solo trade-offs out into orbit to ravage the ozone layer some more. This is precisely the kind of shit that should have a spiky, illegible logo and a skeletal ghoul clad in army fatigues laughing wildly as a mushroom cloud blossoms over some doomed city, the soundtrack to Pepsi-fuelled D&D all-nighters or getting fucked up while watching third-rate monster movies blur across the TV screen, a loud, glowering noise that’ll reduce the best of you to jelly-necked zombies with punctured eardrums and eyes full of blood. Rock the fuck on.
