These guys put out, what, two LPs and another 12″? Thats quite a productive effort in a scene which sees so many fly by night bands pop up on the radar only to mystifyingly disappear a few moments later. I would be hard pushed to specifically remember any of the details of their previous records, other than one had a very odd cover version on it, but hey. So the Fiction leave us with one more album, having split up now. And this album is a highly solid rush through energy packed emo/hardcore. Nothing exceptionally out of the ordinary thats going to catch you off guard, just a bunch of fast songs with screamed vocals that run their course in a really fine fashion.

Its difficult to come up with anything new and “enthralling” to write in this review to be honest. If you have heard the band before and you like them, then you will probably have picked this up ages ago – as its a continuation of their previous sound, the songs are good, and you won’t be let down. If you’ve yet to hear the band, and are into hardcore music that is played with power, melody, pace and screamy vocals then this is as good a place to start. I can’t knock this record in anyway at all, other than that its nothing new – but then again, what is in hc? GOOD SOLID ALBUM. I am sure lots of bands that play music in this style wish they could do it as strongly as the Fiction.
