Labels: Gravity
Review by: Chris Bress
I really enjoyed this CD but Im sure hardly anyone else will! It’s a bit different from Gravity’s other stuff. This guy samples peoples telephone conversations and puts strange ambience over the top, it’s really eerie, everynow and then he puts beats over the top which I think can totally ruin the song in most places. When he does the reeeaaallly droney parts (like track 2) it sounds brilliant – very much like an intense noisier Arovane track (‘tides’ era and one of the tracks without beats). This sounds fantastic when you turn it up really loud as well. The sort of telephone conversations he nicks are brillaint! Sort of like the film samples from that dystopia song – people who are pretty pissed off about something (sometimes its quite hard to make out what theyre saying though). Another reference: Nurse With Wound. Check it out if you wanna hear something thats pretty fucked!
