Rather than using anything so polite as guitars and drums, it sounds like Ignorance are dynamiting their music straight from the side of a mountain. Harsh, craggy and utterly unrelenting, the band’s bug-eyed, froth-mouthed approach to d-beat owes much to the thundering pummel of Framtid and the migraine-inducing squall of Lebenden Toten. Despite the crash, clamour and weird gargling solos to be found tearing through tracks like ‘Rip Them Out’ or ‘Dull Mind’ there’s a deadly sense of focus at play. There’s no slack, no fat, no threat of collapse: just a white-knuckle grip, and the impression that Ignorance have worked damn hard to channel all this chaos so they can wreak the maximum possible damage.
